SPRING SUNGLASS

GUIDE

Our favorite shades right now

Illesteva2

ROUND/GRAPHIC

These Illesteva frames combine three of this season’s best trends: round frames, black & white, and stripes.

Sofee

LUCITE/ MIRROR

Lucite frames, mirror lenses, and a retro wayfarer shape are a must-have for this spring/summer. Oliver Peoples’ Sofee do it all in one frame.

Thierry

CAT-EYE

Nothing is chicer than cat-eye sunglasses with a tortoise shell frame. This style by Thierry Lasry is super sexy, as well.

Aviator2

AVIATOR

Update your classic aviators with these gold-framed Ray-Bans. Smoky brownish-pink mirrored lenses are super flattering on a multitude of skin tones.

HEAD TO TOE

CREATIVE WORK LOOK

Don’t let dressing for work require too much thought.

This L'Agence dress is a key foundation piece for your work wardrobe—it’s professional, but right on trend. By changing up the belt in addition to footwear and accessories, you can effortlessly take this dress from PTA meetings to the boardroom to dinner with friends. For the office this week, we suggest wearing the studded belt and pairing it with black booties. To keep the look in sync with this current spring-like weather, opt for booties that have a mesh paneling (This type of style is the perfect find for trans-seasonal weather).  If your office calls for a more conservative look, just swap the booties for pumps and add a cobalt blue belt to add a punch of color. To prepare yourself for this week’s possible showers, finish off the look with a hooded, lightweight coat. A swing coat complements the collared detail on the dress and looks more polished than a trench with a straight silhouette.

HEAD TO TOE

GOING OUT

Pairing prints for an all-over matching look is one of our favorite spring trends.

Choose pajama-inspired separates for a devil-may-care vibe. To avoid looking like you’ve just rolled out of bed, keep the accessories chic. Strappy heels, in a bright color, or pointy-toe pumps are the right footwear choice. Anything else will look too heavy and clunky. A leather jacket will keep you warm and add a tough edge to the flow-y fabrics of the top and trousers. Keep the overall silhouette clean and your shoulders unencumbered with a sleek clutch in a bright hue. Let the bold print do the talking and keep jewelry to a minimum. A simple tassel necklace (worn on the neck or twisted around the wrist as a bracelet) complements the silky ensemble without competing. Go for a matte red-orange lip– it’s the perfect accompaniment. Not ready to commit fully? Try the look for less with this top and pants combo by Zara.
