IF YOU COULD ONLY BUY JUST ONE TOP

Truth be told, we don’t usually consider ourselves the peasant blouse “type”. Not that there’s anything wrong with them, but generally, flow-y Boho-hippie styles do not make our hearts skip a beat. Yet lately we’ve been seeing amazing versions, like this style by J.Crew or this dream blouse that have us majorly reconsidering. The key to keeping your look modern is to pair your peasant blouse with sharp, polished, urbane pieces. Tuck it into a pencil skirts or high-waisted skinny jeans, and pair with pumps and a leather jacket or pea coat. The juxtaposition looks super chic. For the weekend, pair with boyfriend jeans and Converse high-tops for an effortlessly cool look.

IF YOU COULD ONLY BUY JUST ONE SNEAKER

Adidas literally stands for “All Day I Dream About Shoes”. So leave it to the classic brand to stage the perfect comeback with one of their most iconic styles: the Stan Smith. Lesser known than the Superstar or Samba Classic, they’ve recently been re-issued and have been spotted around town by those in the know. That’s because they’re the perfect minimalist sneaker. Cool and authentic, they won’t break the bank like the versions by Saint Laurent and other high-end designers hopping on the sneaker train. Wear them with monochromatic looks so they make a statement. Try a wool turtleneck sweater and menswear-inspired trousers or even skinny jeans. Don’t forget a wool coat left unbuttoned for a slouchy, effortless look.

IF YOU COULD ONLY BUY ONE PAIR OF FRAMES

While it may not feel like sunglasses weather just yet, the sun is still shining. We’ve become Warby Parker devotees (after losing way too many pairs of overpriced designer shades), and, after their latest collaboration with stylist Leith Clark, chances are you will too. Their retro-inspired, fashionable frames make every outfit look that much cooler. Plus, they're on trend for this Spring/Summer. We love pairing the Greta Crystal  (note: these look more flattering on smaller faces) or Marva with everything from Dr. Martens and skirts to Adidas with baggy jeans. For a truly glamorous look, check out the cat-eye style called Wednesday. Should you need any more justification as to why to buy a pair or two sunglasses right now, a percentage of sales will benefit the United Nations Foundation, Girl Up, which works to empower adolescent American girls to become advocates for health care and education issues worldwide.
