HEAD TO TOE TRAVEL LOOK

The Hamptons? Montauk? Hudson Valley? The Cape?

If you’re hitting the road this weekend on a car trip, you’ll need a comfortable, no-fuss outfit that can withstand the wear and tear of travel, and the unpredictable weather forecasts of strange lands. Luckily, there are many fabulous options out there that fulfill these needs. Our favorite option for this week’s weather: flow-y patterned silk pants like Otte’s signature style in a colorful snake print. They’re light-as-air, and if you spill your drink on them, nobody will be able to tell. Pair with a boxy, slightly cropped white tee and minimalist double-strap white sandals for a beachy look. Top with aviator sunglasses and Boho jewelry flourishes. Don’t forget a jacket for the car ride, as air-conditioning can feel frigid after awhile. We love this light-wash, stretch-denim jacket by J.Crew –a staple for the summer months. If you’re not feeling the silky pant thing, try a soft jumpsuit or a maxi dress, both of which can be styled with the same accessories.

FATHER’S DAY GIFT IDEAS

Don’t overthink it and opt for something he’ll use every day. Our recommendations are as follows. Luxury watchmaker Shinola crafts the coolest watches with American-made leather and movement with Swiss parts right in their factory in Detroit, Michigan. We love how they all have that low-key, cool and stylish aesthetic to them. And we equally love their tagline, "Where American is Made." Another gift idea: give him something he’ll need this summer season. With lots of rain and humidity in the forecast for this summer, get him a Penfield lightweight raincoat. Having the right pieces to Dress for the Weather is always something everyone (even men!) appreciates!
