HEAD TO TOE TRAVEL LOOK

The key to dressing for travel is picking the right fabrics and fits to ensure a cool yet comfortable look.

We're rather fond of Rag & Bone jeans, especially this season's Oil Stain Skinny. The mid-rise and stretchy denim are a must for travel: the fit stays flattering, regardless of how long you’ve been sitting on a plane or in the car. Layer on a fitted tee with a longer hem. We’re currently obsessed with these fitted Rodarte tees as well as these from Drifter. Both styles are long enough to ensure you’ll stay well covered as you reach up to stow your baggage overhead (or if you doze off in an awkward position). An oversized cardigan not only looks cool, but it’s also a sensible addition to a traveling outfit as it doubles as a blanket. For shoes, we love anything that is easy to slip on and off, such as these cool sneakers by Cinzia Araia and Rebecca Minkoff . For a more polished vibe, try a pair of chic flats  or comfy booties . Chances are you’re leaving from a cold destination (NYC), so you should layer on a fitted leather jacket. And we always stuff our better handbag inside a bigger, monogrammed carry-on that holds our in-flight essentials and valuables that are too important to pack.

HEAD TO TOE THANKSGIVING

A wintry Thanksgiving is in the forecast, so dress for it!

Whatever your plans this Thanksgiving may be (Perhaps you’re family is lighting the Menurkey), the perfect outfit is a must. You want to look stylish, but still be comfortable enough to gorge on the delicious spread without worrying that your buttons will pop. Our solution? This patterned stretch-knit dress by Issa. We love the abstract print’s autumnal color palate and how the slightly loose fit glides flatteringly over the body. The mini length is made for high boots, like this cognac, over-the-knee pair by 3.1 Phillip Lim. They’ll provide enough coverage and warmth that you will probably be able to forego tights. The stacked heel feels more casual than a stiletto and is much easier to walk around in.  A small, satchel-style bag in a bright color is festive yet laid back. Plus, it will look great over a straight-lined coat like this basic ‘military’ style by Sam.
