HEAD TO TOE CASUAL LOOK

Chilly weather is finally here. Embrace the jacket.

Without a doubt, the leather jacket is the king of autumn outerwear. So why not change it up with a varsity style bomber once in a while? We love this mixed-media version by Smythe, with its boiled wool body and faux-leather sleeves. A button-down underneath is the perfect pairing. The contrasting vertical and horizontal stripes of this style by Cheap Monday is a fun take on the traditional men’s striped shirt. Basic black skinnies keep the look feminine and neat. You can also try a pair of coated jeans, like this pair by Madewell—they’re a great alternative to leather pants. While a pair of pointed-toe loafers would look cool, a pair of graphic, black and white heeled ankle boots dresses up the look a bit.

HEAD TO TOE NIGHT OUT

The cooler temperatures are a nice change of pace.

Time to ditch the razor (well, at least give it a mini break). Break out the A-line skirts and minis and, of course, killer stockings. Leave it to Hedi Slimane to make us long for ’90s style again. But, this new grunge is all grown up. Take, for example, this black and tan plaid skirt, with its more feminine, glamorous silhouette. Pair with a tucked-in crisp white shirt, sweater, or schoolgirl-inspired top. The most important part of the outfit, however, are the stockings. Try a pair of updated fishnets, like this sophisticated version by Wolford, which read 'elegant' not 'streetwalker'. For those not quite ready to rock the grunge look, try this plaid skirt with the latest full cut and midi length, paired with a simple black top. It's a more feminine take on the grunge trend. For both outfits, finish off the look with amazing half-bootie stilettos, a bold earring, and a clutch. In case it gets chilly, throw on a leather coat or a cool cropped version.

IF YOU COULD ONLY BUY TWO PIECES

Givenchy has done it again with this amazing shark tooth earring. The avant-garde piece instantly updates any look this fall. We love that it's meant to be worn singularly and not as a pair, for a punk vibe. And its pale-gold tone looks great with both silver and gold.

These Zara shoes are such a find. They're perfect for throwing on with jeans, casual dresses, or skinny leather leggings, and the red suede is very much on trend. The best part: The price is amazing. So you can wear these shoes without having to worry about screwing them up should you step in a puddle.
