STYLISH RAIN GEAR PICKS

4 essential pieces for fall showers

Trench

The Trench

A classic trench is a key piece in your wardrobe—especially now. We love the luxe, detachable fur collar and storm flap detail on the back of this Jenni Kayne version.

Hat

The Hat

We are obsessed with the tomboyish charm of this Eugenia Kim cap. The soft cashmere knit will keep your head warm, while taming unruly rainy-day tresses.

Leopardboot

The Rain Boot

It’s hard to believe this sleek bootie is actually a rain shoe. The fun lynx print version version is much more interesting, but the black version goes with everything.

Bowbrella

The Umbrella

There’s something about a special umbrella that brightens a rainy day. Forgo the typical, foldable type for a timeless and chic “stick” model. It may seem expensive, but it lasts longer than the street-corner version.

HEAD TO TOE DAY TO NIGHT

With the temperature dropping, now is the perfect time to experiment with clothing of contrasting textures and weights.

During fashion week, stylish women were all about mixing up sweatshirt-inspired tops with pencil skirts. You don’t need to splurge on the designer versions to pull off this look. Just opt for a slouchy-fitting sweatshirt that features a simple design, and pair itwith something more refined and fitted on the bottom (like a leather pencil skirt, as shown in this look). Wear with plain pumps or if you're feeling daring, a pair of fabulous lace-up heels, a sleek bracelet (show it off by rolling up sweatshirt sleeves), and a studded bag. With the evenings getting chillier, you don’t want to leave home without a tweed moto or varsity jacket, as seen in last week’s item.

Chanel-hydra-serum

WHERE TO BUY

CHANEL Hydra beauty serum, chanel.com

When the weather gets cooler, our amazing dermatologist always insists that we use a cream to moisturize our skin. Yet, for those of us with sensitive or acne-prone skin, you have to be careful which type of cream you use. The perfect solution? Chanel’s Hydra Beauty Serum. This oil-free moisturizer feels weightless on the skin, smells heavenly and boosts overall radiance. The soothing formula contains a powerful hydrating ingredient developed by Chanel’s laboratories, as well as protective antioxidants and hyaluronic acid that helps smooth the skin and retain its moisture. It works wonderfully under makeup or on its own.  Needless to say, we’re obsessed with the velvety look it imparts on our skin. It’s a definite worthwhile addition to your beauty routine if you’re someone who detests heavy lotions but needs hydration.
